Surprise Ending

Key chain dangles out of the door as the last scene is played out between you and me and you ask me to leave. I want you to say, this can get better. And I know myself, I can do better. And I want to say, this can get better, better than it’s been.

Cause it feels like it’s a movie about losing, only this time it’s us and we’re counting on a surprise ending. Only this time it never does come.

These days you throw blame around the room with some clothes into a suitcase. How I'd love to wipe that look
off your face. And I want you to say, this can get better. I know myself, I can do better. And I want to say, this can get better. And then you slam the door in my face

Cause it feels like it’s a movie about losing, only this time it’s us and we’re counting on a surprise ending. Only this time it never does come.

And I want you to say, this can get better. I know myself, I can do better. And I want to say, this can get better. And then you slam the door in my face

Cause it feels like it’s a movie about losing, only this time it’s us and we’re counting on a surprise ending. Only this time it never does come.
